For further processing of tables such as scatter diagrams, we recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer 4+ and Microsoft Excel. To export a table and the related text to Excel, you can use the standard copy-past functionality under Windows. You can then store the table(s) in the Excel and process them further for your application

Having a scatter table displayed, do the following in IE 4+ (unfortunately, this will not work in Netscape):

Both table and texts are now available in an Excel table, and thus to any other Microsoft Office application. You can select this table in Excel and export it to Word using 'copy and past'.

A plot or picture displayed by your browser (IE 4+ or Netscape 4+) can be saved to disk by right-clicking the picture and saving it to a GIF-file. Then you can import the picture into Word by inserting the picture from the GIF-file that you just created. Alternatively, right-click the picture, choose "Copy", and then paste the picture into an Excel or Word file, for example.

If you are new to waveclimate.com, a sensible thing to do is to log into waveclimate.com as "demo" first and to exercise the handling of results.

Yes, waveclimate.com subscribers can customize scatter diagrams and monthly distribution tables through "Account>Preferences" .

Monthly distributions can be made of total significant wave height or windspeed (from altimeter) For wind-sea and swell parameters we did not implement the option of a monthly distribution table because SAR, which provides this kind of spectral information, supplies far fewer samples than altimeter or scatterometer.

What you can do is select one or more months in the season selection screen and produce a scatter diagram or histogram of the wind-sea or swell parameter(s) of interest. If one month does not supply enough data you could extend the number of months to for instance a whole summer season.
