Future Plans

We are planning to build the following features into waveclimate.com

Update the graphival user interface (GUI): The GUI of waveclimate.com, especially the look-and-feel of the navigation part, will be updated to state-of-the-art web interfacing.

Enhance the satellite data.: Replace the current sets of mission-based altimeter data with the set of altimeter data currently used for model calibration. The satellite data set used for model calibration is believed to be more consistent over time because it is first calibrated with one 'master' altimeter, merged and then calibrated with buoy observations whereas the current altimeter data have been calibrated with buoys on a per-mission basis.
