Forensic environmental analysis
Offshore activities are sometimes interrupted due to weather changes, which can cause accidents or downtime. This may result in disputes between parties involved. Infoplaza can assist in gathering environmental information from different sources and provide the client with a consistent analysis of the conditions for the site and time of interest.
Rapid assessment of the tropical storm climate
At Infoplaza, we hold a worldwide dataset of tropical storm data based on the NOAA GTECCA dataset, which we have screened and validated at a number of locations. Based on these data, we can provide you with crude but fairly reliable estimates of the tropical storm climate for any location
Wind, wave and current time series
Three-hourly time series of wind and wave parameters can be generated from any grid point of our in-house wave model covering the period 1979 to present day. Wave parameters can be based on the total wave spectrum or on the swell or wind-sea part of the wave spectrum only. Optionally, multiple swell peaks can be detected.
Hourly time series of surface current are composed of residual currents and tidal currents. Residual currents come from the HYCOM model. Tidal data come from our in-house tidal model. Period covered is 1995 to present day.
Extreme value analysis
Based on wave model computations the extreme wind and wave climate at any location around the globe is characterised.
